We explain the work and price before starting. We do not add work without approval. We protect your home, stand behind our workmanship, and tell you when another qualified trade is required. You provide safe access, back up important data, and pay the approved invoice.
1. About these terms
These Terms govern Home IT Crew consultations, estimates, support visits, equipment purchases, installations, and projects. A signed estimate, statement of work, or invoice may include project-specific terms. If project-specific terms conflict with these general Terms, the signed project terms control for that project.
2. Consultations, estimates, and approval
Consultations and discovery meetings are free. Before paid work begins, we provide the rate or a written scope and price. Ohio consumers have the right to request an estimate for qualifying repair and service work. We obtain approval before performing work that changes the approved scope or price. A fixed quote remains valid for the period printed on it.
3. Pricing and equipment
Current rates and starting prices appear on our Pricing page. Equipment is quoted at wholesale invoice cost plus the disclosed 15% sourcing and warranty-handling charge unless a fixed project package states otherwise. Taxes, permits, electrical work, construction, landscaping, shipping, and outside trades are charged only when identified in the approved scope.
4. Access, accounts, and customer responsibilities
You agree to provide safe access to the work area, accurate information about the home and existing systems, required account access, and an authorized adult during scheduled work. Back up important data before computer, storage, or account work. We take reasonable care, but no technology service can guarantee against every pre-existing failure, data loss, platform outage, or incompatibility.
5. Third-party products and services
Manufacturer hardware, software, cloud services, voice assistants, internet service, and apps remain subject to their own terms, availability, subscriptions, and privacy practices. We may recommend licensed electricians, contractors, or other trades when work is outside our scope. Their work and charges are identified before approval.
6. Ninety-day adjustment window
For 90 days after installation, we support workmanship corrections, minor configuration changes, and reasonable product exchanges. A minor adjustment takes no more than four crew-hours and does not require new in-wall wiring, construction, or a major redesign. Labor to correct our workmanship is included. Preference changes may involve product price differences, disclosed restocking charges, consumables, or normal labor when they fall outside the approved scope.
7. Thirty-day Restore Period
A standard project may be restored within 30 days. A standard project is completed within one crew-day and does not include in-wall or in-ceiling wiring, construction, custom fabrication, or another irreversible alteration. We remove equipment we installed and return recoverable connections and settings to their prior state without restoration labor charges. The customer remains responsible for non-returnable hardware, disclosed restocking charges, damage or limitations that existed before our work, and work by outside trades.
Whole-room, whole-home, in-wall, outdoor, and construction-related projects have project-specific restoration limits. Concealed wiring may remain, and patched, drilled, painted, landscaped, or structurally altered surfaces may not be restorable to their exact prior condition. Those limits must be listed in the approved project scope.
8. Refunds, exchanges, and cancellations
Refunds and exchanges follow the Restore Period, adjustment window, approved scope, and the applicable manufacturer or distributor return policy. Labor refunds are available when we fail to deliver the approved scope and cannot reasonably correct it. Customer preference changes do not automatically create a labor refund. We disclose any non-refundable deposit, custom-order item, restocking charge, or cancellation term before payment.
9. Warranties
Products retain the warranty supplied by their original manufacturer. We provide available warranty documentation and help coordinate valid claims. Home IT Crew warrants its installation workmanship for 90 days. This workmanship warranty does not replace an OEM warranty or cover misuse, unauthorized changes, internet or utility outages, manufacturer defects, or third-party work.
10. Invoices and payment
Payment timing appears on the approved estimate or invoice. Planned payment methods include major credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfer, and check. Past-due charges, financing terms, or card-processing charges apply only if disclosed before approval. Invoices provide an itemized record of labor, equipment, taxes, and approved changes.
11. Insurance, credentials, and safe work
Before accepting customer work, Home IT Crew will maintain appropriate business insurance and every license or credential required for the work performed. Documentation will be available on request. We may stop or reschedule work if a condition is unsafe or requires a licensed trade.
12. Limits and governing law
To the extent permitted by law, Home IT Crew is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by third-party products, services, outages, pre-existing defects, or conditions outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms waives rights that cannot legally be waived. Ohio law governs these Terms.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms before launch or as services change. The effective date will appear at the top. A customer’s approved project remains governed by the version accepted for that project unless both parties agree otherwise. A formal terms-contact address will be published before appointments open.
These are working terms for the private pre-launch site. They should receive Ohio counsel review before public bookings or payments begin.
