We collect the information needed to answer questions, plan work, provide support, and keep required business records. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, service address, appointment details, project preferences, support history, invoice and payment status, feedback, and information about devices or systems relevant to requested work. When you use our contact form, your browser opens a prefilled email draft in your own email app; Home IT Crew receives those details only if you send the email. Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser details, device information, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and protect the site.
2. Credentials and sensitive access
A technician may temporarily handle credentials or device access that you provide during service. We do not record account passwords unless it is necessary for an approved support arrangement and you expressly authorize it. We encourage customers to enter personal passwords themselves and change temporary credentials after handoff.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare estimates, schedule and perform work, purchase and register equipment, provide documentation and support, issue invoices, process payments, honor warranties, prevent fraud, protect systems, improve service, request feedback, and comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We may share only what is reasonably needed with hosting, communications, scheduling, payment, accounting, equipment, warranty, and customer-support providers; with approved subcontractors or licensed trades; or when required by law. We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for third-party targeted advertising.
5. Payments
Payment card and bank details will be handled by the payment provider selected before launch. Home IT Crew will not store complete payment-card numbers on its own website. The provider’s privacy and security terms will apply to payment processing.
6. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for service, support, warranty coordination, accounting, tax, insurance, security, and legal obligations. Project documentation may be retained to support the installed system. Credentials no longer needed for service should be removed or securely destroyed.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain. No system can guarantee absolute security. If a security incident creates a legally reportable risk, we will investigate and provide required notices.
8. Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we control, subject to records we must retain. You may opt out of promotional communications while continuing to receive project, invoice, security, warranty, and support messages. Cookie information and controls appear in our Cookie Policy.
9. Children
Home IT Crew services and this website are intended for adults arranging household technology services. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website.
10. Other services and links
Products, apps, voice assistants, cloud platforms, and websites supplied by others have their own privacy practices. We help customers understand important choices, but their data handling is governed by their policies.
11. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The current date will appear at the top. Privacy questions may be submitted through our contact form or sent to info@homeitcrew.com. A business mailing address will be published before public bookings open.
This policy describes the planned service model. It must be updated with the actual booking, payment, analytics, support, and communications providers selected before public launch.
